What are cookies?

When you access or use our website, we may place so-called cookies, i.e. small text files or similar tools, on your computer. The information stored may relate to you, your preferences or your device settings. It is generally used to make the website work as expected. These cookies are deployed to recognise you as a user of the website, to customise content, and to improve the performance of the website and the user experience. Categories of cookies that we use

Depending on their function and purpose, the cookies we use can be divided into the following categories:

  • Essential or strictly necessary cookies: These cookies are required for the basic functionality of the website. They only contain services that are technically necessary. These services do not involve user consent and cannot be declined.
  • Functional cookies: These cookies serve a variety of purposes in connection with the presentation, functionality and performance of a website. They also improve the visitor’s experience and enjoyment of the website in particular. They enable a website to retain information that has already been entered (e.g. username, location or choice of language) and to provide visitors with enhanced and more personalised features. Functional cookies are used to recall your login details, for example. These cookies cannot track your movements on other websites.
  • Performance cookies: These cookies are used to collect information about how a website is used. This includes, how visitors arrived at our website, which pages they open most often, how they navigated our website during their visit, and whether they received error messages on a page. We may also use these cookies to provide us with certain statistical and analytical information, for instance, how many visitors have come to our website. These cookies are used to monitor the level of activity on the website and to improve its performance.
  • Targeting cookies: These enable us or a third party to place ads on our website or on third-party websites that feature products liked by the user. The ads the user sees are therefore more relevant to their preferences or interests. They can also be used to measure the effectiveness of advertising and promotions.

By continuing to use our website and/or agreeing to this data protection information, you give us permission to use cookies and thus collect, store and use personal usage data even after the browser session has ended. You may revoke this consent at any time by activating the browser setting to reject third-party cookies.

Google Analytics (technology for web analysis purposes)

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google USA LLC (“Google”), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. You will find their conditions of use here: https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/

We use Google Analytics to analyse and regularly improve our website based on our legitimate interests. Using the statistics obtained also helps us to enhance our services on an ongoing basis, to make it more interesting for you. The use of Google Analytics requires you to consent to the recording of your surfing behaviour on our websites and its analysis.

We only use Google Analytics in connection with activated IP anonymisation (IP masking). This means that the IP address of users within member states of the European Union is transmitted by Google to a server in the USA and abbreviated there.

The method used by Google to anonymise IP addresses means that they are not written to a hard drive, since the process takes place immediately after the request is received in the main memory. We do not receive any personal data from Google, only anonymous statistics.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google only uses this information to analyse your use of the website. This includes compiling reports on website activity, and providing the website operator with other services related to website activity and Internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the Google Analytics procedure will not be used in conjunction with other Google data.

You can refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on our consent management platform or in your browser. However, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all the features of this website.

How do I change settings for cookies on my device?

You can deactivate our non-essential cookies at any time. However, if you do so, you may not be able to use certain features on our website. If you wish to prevent the above cookies being used, you can disable cookies on our website.
